Abstract :In this paper, we reexamine the transfer paradox in a two-commodity world involving two countries. We show that even if the imported good in inferior, donor enrichment can never occur when the recipient imposes a tariff. We assert that if the tariff that the recipient imposes on an imported good is sufficiently lower, no transfer paradoxes arise for the donor and the recipient.
